Zombie Valentine Photo Contest
by Boss on Feb.15, 2012, under Zombie Pinups Contests
It’s been a long time since ZombiePinups.com did an online photo contest. Years, in fact. BUT! The stars have aligned just right, and it’s time once again for YOU to send us your best Zombie Pinups photos for the Zombie Valentine Photo Contest.
Why “Zombie Valentine”? Not only are we launching it (very) late on Valentine’s Day 2012, but none other than Syfy Face Off‘s Matt Valentine will be judging it!
So here’s the deal: Send your best Zombie Pinups photo(s) to savage@zombiepinups.com with the subject header “BE MY ZOMBIE VALENTINE”; be sure to include the following information:
- The name of the model in the photo
- Your name, if you’re not the model (and if you’re not the model, please include your relationship to the model/photo(s))
- Photographer’s name, if not you
- Make up artist’s name, if not you
- Any other pertinent credits
As ever, we’re looking for that perfect mix of classic pinup style with gruesome zombie makeup. Splashing a little blood on your face and posing in lingerie won’t cut it (and god bless all of you who’ll do that anyway) – the photo that will win will (A) display a classic, Vargas-style pinup aesthetic and (B) top-notch zombie make up effects. Look through the galleries and pay particular attention to the original Zombie Pinups, and those who’ve won the contests we’ve had in the past.
So get to submittin’ – this contest runs from NOW through March 14th, 2012; the winner will be posted on March 19th. Naturally, photos submitted will potentially be posted in the galleries of ZombiePinups.com.
AND WHAT WILL THE WINNER WIN?

Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School is a burlesque life-drawing sensation that’s taking the world by storm with nearly 200 branches in cities on 5 continents! It all started in New York City with artist Molly Crabapple… featuring some of the Big Apple’s most avant-garde models and burlesque performers lending their talents, donning crazy costumes, and posing for the drawing pleasure of a growing group of artists of all skill levels. Now you can find a Dr. Sketchy’s branch in almost every major city in America (and beyond!) and in a lot of the smaller ones, too…..
Including Raleigh, North Carolina where artist and cabaret performer, Virginia Scare, has been organizing these life-drawing sessions for nearly two years. Recently moved to a new venue and teamed up with SIN-EPLEX (a local monthly horror film club), Raleigh’s branch of Dr. Sketchy’s came across ZOMBIE PINUPS rather serendipitously while putting together a drawing session themed “Zombie Pinups!” So all you art monkeys out there…find your local Dr. Sketchy’s branch and keep your eye out for a future ZOMBIE PINUP session near you!
